Tighter skin.

If you’re one of the nearly 90 percent of adult women—and some men— battling the bulgy, dimpled lumps on your thighs, arms, stomach, or behind, you’re clearly not alone. In fact, anyone can develop cellulite—even the thinnest of people. Contrary to popular belief, cellulite is not a weight issue; but, rather, due to the breakdown of collagen.

So how can you get rid of cellulite?

Enlarged individual fat deposits beneath the skin, which lack the support of collagen, causes the dimpling that we associate with cellulite. Our aestheticians use the Alma Accent laser, which employs a combination of radio-frequency energy and mechanical massage to increase metabolism of adipose tissue, reduce fat cell volume, stimulate lymphatic drainage and visibly smooth the texture of the skin. And most important, this treatment stimulates the production of new collagen.

Radio frequency therapy can be used anywhere on the body. You can cut and flatten the abdomen, hips, and thighs, smooth the upper arms, as well as tighten sagging skin of the face and neck.

What should I expect during the treatment?

This cellulite reduction therapy is therapy is completely safe and, depending on the size of the area, takes from 30-45 minutes. In most cases, patients need a minimum of 6 procedures at 7-to-10 day intervals.

During the procedure, patients feel a gradual increasing of body heat on the treated area as the laser glides across the skin. This feeling is completely manageable and typically evaporates rapidly. You may notice a slight redness, which should disappear within 24 hours.

What should I expect after the treatment?

Immediately after each procedure, the patient can return to any routine activity. You should make sure to stay hydrated, so drink lots of water for best results. And, for optimal results, you should have an additional treatment within the next week to 10 days.
